Remote Access Guide
Prerequisites
- Remote Workstation: The workstation you wish to connect to is managed by Solitary Technology and is powered on
- Compatible Device: The computer you’re connecting from is running Windows 11 or later, and is connected to the internet
- Account Access: Remote access has been enabled on your account and workstation
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to establish a remote connection to your workstation:

Access the Remote Portal
Navigate to remote.solitary.net.au in your web browser.
Alternatively, if you’re using another computer managed by Solitary Technology, click our logo in the taskbar and select “Management Portal”.

Sign In
Enter your work email address and select Sign In.

Email Verification
A verification code will be sent to your work email address. Check your email and enter the code when prompted.

First-Time Setup
If you are setting up your account for the first time, you will be asked to setup an authenticator app:
- We recommend storing these in your password manager, or using the Google Authenticator app
- Scan the QR code shown on screen using your authenticator app
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app

Save Backup Codes
Backup codes will be displayed on screen:
- Save your backup codes in a safe place
- Consider printing them off and storing them with your other backup codes
- These codes are essential for account recovery

Start Remote Session
Select “Start a new remote control session”.

Select Workstation (if applicable)
If you have requested access to multiple workstations remotely, you will be asked to select which one you would like to connect to.

Session Type
Select “Share the Console Session” and click Next.

Download Remote Control Application
If it’s your first time connecting, you will need to download the remote control application. Follow the prompts to download and install it. You can also download it here

Begin Remote Control

Troubleshooting
Connection Issues
If you’re unable to connect:
- Verify your internet connection is stable
- Ensure you’re connecting from a trusted Australian IP address
- Contact us if you need your IP address whitelisted
Login Problems
If you’re having trouble while logging in:
- Check your spam folder for the login code.
- Ensure both your phone and the computer you are trying to connect from are set with the correct time.
- Use one of your backup codes if your authenticator app is unavailable (for example if you lost your phone)
