How to take a Speedtest

What you will need

• Laptop or desktop computer (ideally with an Ethernet port)
• Access to the “nbn box” (or NTD)

Don't have a computer with an Ethernet port?

Unfortunately, because of the shared and variable nature of WiFi, we are unable to lodge fault with nbn based solely on speed tests taken over WiFi. Let us know if this is the case, and we can sort something out together.

Taking the test

1. Head to speedtest.net in your preferred web browser.
2. Wait a few seconds - it will identify a server to test with.
3. Click Go to Begin the Test.
4. Wait while it completes its test. It’ll go through a few phases - ping, download and upload.
5. When complete, click the ‘Share This Result’ button.
6. Provide the link to Solitary Technology. You can press ‘copy’ and then paste it in an email to hello@solitarytech.com.au.
